Album Review: M-Dot & Confidence – Library Of Sound
Boston emcee M-Dot and producer Confidence deliver a masterclass in timeless hip-hop with Library Of Sound. The album is a seamless blend of razor-sharp lyricism and soulful boom-bap production, showcasing both artists at the peak of their craft. Confidence’s crisp drums, warm samples, and vintage textures provide the perfect backdrop for M-Dot’s vivid storytelling, introspective bars, and technical precision.

Another solid album from one of Boston's most consistent artists. M-Dot's music continues to expand sonically while still maintaining its original boom bap essence and lyrical prowess. Adding in his producer ear, you can hear more instrumentation, bigger hooks and filler records than on any of his previous works. The songs have also become even more personal than ever before. Giving the audience a "bared soul" feel on almost every record.
Enjoyed this project front to back. Really cohesive sound throughout this debut from NY/NJ producer Mickey Blue. Solid production and features some underground lyrical heavyweights. If you like that 90s Boom Bap era then this album is for you.
Golden era through and through. Excellent beats and concepts, couple dope features.
Revalation's best tape. Lyrically dense, dope and varied production and great features that all come to spit. More like an album than a mixtape if it wasn't for the heavy dj presence.
