Revisiting this, I feel like I understand the album a lot better now. It’s such a cohesive project, very focused on that electronic, slightly futuristic sound, but still warm and easy to listen to. The production is easily one of the strongest aspects, everything feels polished and intentional without sounding overdone. decent album, but it's probably one of my least favorite Mac Miller projects. While it keeps the fun and carefree energy that made his early music enjoyable, it doesn't hit me as much as some of his other releases.
one of the most interesting albums I've heard from Tyler. Unlike most of his projects, it feels like the main focus here is on the production rather than the lyrics. The instrumentals are easily the highlight of the album, and it's really interesting to hear Tyler experimenting with so many different sounds and ideas throughout the tracklist.
