Kamasi Washington - Fearless Movement
75

Kamasi comes through with some of the best highlights we’ll see this year. Unfortunately, in order to see experience them, you’ll need to go through an unnecessary amount of filler.

Tyler, The Creator - CHROMAKOPIA
83

Ever since his 2017 album 'Flower Boy', Tyler has consistently released records with the highest level of storytelling in the industry. This trend continues with CHROMAKOPIA, where Tyler takes us through his life after finally reaching his goal of becoming a star hip-hop artist. It is quickly noticed in the first half of the track list that Tyler is not handling these situations well and seems to be pushing these issues to the side instead of addressing them. All of this continues ... read more

Freddie Gibbs - You Only Die 1nce
60

Of the Freddie Gibbs albums I've listened to (Piñata, Bandana & Alfredo), this is by far the most mediocre. The loss of Madlib and The Alchemist are felt heavily as none of the production on You Only Die 1nce provides anything unique or interesting. Gibbs tries to incorporate the devil into album but is done in a manner that feels corny and pointless. With that being said, I still believe there are highpoints on this album, such as Cosmo Freestyle with hard hitting bars, Yeah ... read more

Olivia Rodrigo - GUTS
92

A very enjoyable listen. The current generation of emerging pop artists such as Olivia Rodrigo and Chappell Roan have me excited to see where the sound of pop will be headed in the coming years

Halsey - The Great Impersonator
60

This is my first album from Halsey, and I came in with relatively low expectations as I’ve only heard her most popular hits. However, I ended up being pleasantly surprised by a few of the tracks on this album. I especially liked the connection between the three “Letter to God” tracks and the emotion which could be felt on tracks such as “Life of a Spider”. Unfortunately, this quality was not seen for the entire runtime of the album. Some tracks felt bland to me and ... read more

Yeat - LYFESTYLE
65

Yeat comes back with his second album of the year. Unfortunately, he does not continue with the same quality and consistency that was shown on 2093

Jazz-Rock perfection

Charli xcx - Brat and it's completely different but also still brat
70

3 of the remixes were better, 6 were the same quality, and 7 were worse than the original

The Smile - Cutouts
70

It's good, but lacks the innovation that is commonly seen from great albums in the art rock genre

JAY-Z - 4:44
90

JAY-Z's most personal album to date. Vulnerable lyrics filled with quality soul samples make this album a must hear from his discography

D'Angelo - Voodoo
87

This has revitalized my love for Neo-Soul/R&B

Kate Bush - Hounds of Love
90

I didn't realize music could be this majestic

The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
90

We need more artists taking LSD

Lady Gaga - Harlequin
55

Generic musical songs to promote her upcoming movie

SOPHIE - SOPHIE
10

It sounds like some random executive at her label went on bandcamp for an hour and slapped SOPHIE’s name on it to make a quick buck. A shame people will ruin someone’s legacy for some extra cash

Xiu Xiu - 13" Frank Beltrame Italian Stiletto with Bison Horn Grips
80

A classic tale of a man going through a downward spiral concluding with a dramatic ending. Experimental tracks ranging from bland to incredible with production that often feels otherworldly

Candy Claws - Two Airships / Exploder Falls
85

Two beautiful instrumental tracks with continuous innovation as to not make the songs feel repetitive

Miles Davis - Bitches Brew
95

Those horns😩😩😩

Danny Brown - Dark Sword Angel
85

Danny I think you were supposed to have the single release in 2023 not 2024
