Common - Be
95

Common, Ye, and J Dilla team up at the peak of their abilities to create a near flawless hip hop album that still holds up today

Jamie xx - In Waves
70

A good collection of house tracks with the occasional miss that throws off the atmosphere of the album

This may bring the women's rights movement back multiple decades

Future - MIXTAPE PLUTO
30

This album annoys me so much more than it should. During his two album drop earlier this year, you could see by the second album that he was starting to be drained of creativity. This trend only continues with MIXTAPE PLUTO. While there are some concepts that stood out to me (Teflon Don and Ocean come to mind), most of this album is just bland leftovers from an already mediocre album in “WE STILL DON’T TRUST YOU”

The Clash - London Calling
80

There are no songs on here where he needs to be breaking a guitar. Still goes hard tho

A Tribe Called Quest - We got it from Here... Thank You 4 Your service
85

A tribe Called Quest continue to show their dominance in the jazz rap category, producing yet another masterpiece in their discography

ZZ Top - Eliminator
65

Shout out my coworker who told me to listen to this. A solid start to an album that got dragged down due to the repetitiveness and lack of interesting ideas in the second half.

声音碎片 [Sound Fragment] - 没有鸟鸣,关上窗吧 [No Birds Singing, Close The Window]
70

A relaxing album that did a great job utilizing their strings. A couple songs off of here sounded like they would be used for an inspiring corporate commercial which ruined the vibe for me a bit

Floating Points - Cascade
60

Was not a fan of a majority of the house tracks and enjoyed the IDM parts more. With that said, Birth4000 is peak

Joey Valence & Brae - NO HANDS (Deluxe Edition)
70

A decent collection of leftover tracks

Charli xcx - Talk talk featuring troye sivan
75

Not as good as the other remixes, but still good

Animal Collective - Merriweather Post Pavilion
80

A really strong album with only a couple songs that felt overproduced

90

I'm starting to think 2001 was the best year for music

Baby Keem - The Melodic Blue
60

A few highlights, but most of the album is filler. Not as good as I remember it being

The Dare - What's Wrong With New York?
30

The only time I could see a club playing these songs is when it’s the end of the night and they’re tryna get people to leave

MJ Lenderman - Manning Fireworks
85

This makes me want to sit on a rocking chair and watch the sunrise all morning

Nektar - Mission to Mars
80

Surprising that after over 50 years, Nektar are still releasing solid albums that benefit their discography
