I would explain this album as everything you could imagine pop to be times one hundred. Pop has never been so well-produced and innovative. Every song is uniquely catchy and grows on you at lightning speed.
After Hours shows perfectly how The Weeknd's musical talent and creativity have matured and developed over time; Abel maintains his drug-induced sound and storytelling, but scales it to the max with this album. Ending his persona as The Weeknd, Abel once again proves how well he has mastered creating the pop sound that keeps radio stations playing his songs nonstop. The Weeknd finishes his story with beautiful transitions and extremely catchy melodies that make the album preferably listened to all the way through or with songs back to back.
