The mixing is a little more bloated (intentionally so) on this one. It took my ears two or three listens to adjust. Having done so, this is probably their best effort yet. Like every other album they've put out, it's here for a good time and not a long time. I can't express how much I love Mike's songwriting format.

As someone that gave Household Name a 10/10, it took me a few listens to articulate what wasn't grabbing me quite as hard as Household Name did and I think the hooks feel a little more... just there?

That being said, this album does a good job moving on and having it's own identity. It feels stripped back, the riffs slap from beginning to end and, as always, Aron's production is on point.

Revisiting this album and I'm so grateful these two were able to tap into the compositional magic that made Sure Sure's music so visceral. Beyond excited to see what the future holds and hope the married life has brought nothing but happiness for Kevin.
