That 2010 sophomore album would've been the album of the year, this one is weak despite being good. I actually like the whole record, but the tracks themselves can't be enjoyed on repeat

The album has that specific sound that you will either like or dislike, and disliking it doesn't make it any less good. I don't know if this was her hunger or faded skill, but she managed to make actual pieces of music and not just songs. I also love the signature piano it has, adds so much to the record

The cheap demo sound of the tracks is what does it for me, that was the magic of the late 2000s music for me. This is one of those album eras that should be studied

A career highlight, but it could've been anybody's for two reasons:
1) the producers and writers could've saved it for other people
2) would've smashed regardless of who the artist was

I actually think the 2012 pop genre was perfect, but not everyone was able to master it. The intro is probably my favorite track of hers now
