This is absolutely perfect, so many songs written and produced with so much passion. You can just hear that he's trying to break through, and especially with the way he was held down for "not being a rapper" he absolutely performed. There's nothing for me to say otherwise, what a damn debut.
The progression on this album genuinely is incredible. The aggressive opening showing you one side of Kanye, while also giving you a more fun feel, and then the slow descent into the other side of Kanye having a completely different sad slow feeling to it. There are some great songs in this album but most of it is just Jay and Ye just flaunting their earnings which doesn't really do much for me, but the production with the different samples and interpolations is absolutely phenomenal, and I will always love Kanye for that exact reason. There's nothing in this album that's like really bad, but songs like Otis and New Day just play off the originals so ... read more
