This is amazing! Why did they not release this one first?? Best song from the album so far. Hyped now.
It was fine (apart from the fact it sounds like something you'd play to like a baby), until the percussion kicked in. God that sounds bad. Something about it is just so off.
Then the second track began, quite a bit better to be honest, a good track.
Some useless guitar sounds make up the third track, while we next get a promising start to the fourth before... vocals.
Ew. What is going on. They actually make me feel uncomfortable. And not because they are french. Something about the delivery. ... read more
Very nice instrumentally, but vocals, especially from Coxon, are a small bit lacking. Still thoroughly enjoyable however, looking forwards to listening to the album.
A really strong start to the year with this one, happy to have found this band from one of my favourite genres too. A heavy but dreamlike experience that feels full for the most part.
Excited to see what comes next.

‘Talon Of The Hawk’ is an album I’ve been meaning to listen to in full for a while. Most of what I know from the Front Bottoms I love, theres a certain charm to the goofy and random lyrics on their songs. And this album was no exception to what I’ve heard before. ‘Twin Size Mattress’ and ‘Lone Star’ are two absolutely phenomenal tracks that I had known beforehand, Mattress was the first song I learned fully on guitar, one of my all time ... read more
The first underground release that has truly left me amazed. With only 66,000 monthly listeners at the time of writing, Muchi really does deserve alot more praise and attention. Clocking in at only 10 minutes and being 4 tracks ‘EGO<CONFIDENCE’ is only a short EP, but a fulfilling one at that. The bars are great throughout the whole EP, all seeming to come with deep personal meaning and Muchi’s delivery reminds me of early Earl/Tyler. This is even before acknowledging the ... read more

This is a great album. Perhaps the best that UK hip-hop has had to offer this year. Just good vibes all round, and with a strong message running throughout the tracklisting, hugo makes for an extremely enjoyable experience. A personal favourite on the record is 'A Lasting Place' an emotionally charged track about Loyle's experiences becoming a father and reflecting on the mistakes of his father's parenting, the two main themes running through the album. Overall 'hugo' is a very relaxed album a ... read more
Very nice long EP from parannoul. Been meaning to listen to this artist for a long time and today was finally the time I have been able to. I really did enjoy it, I really liked the first track 'Hand' which serves as a great opening to the album and for me, parannoul as a whole. While I wasn't too crazy about the middle two tracks, they were still thouroughly enjoyable and have things to add to the album. But the 15 minute closer 'Wheel' is where the album really shines. Made up of a few parts, ... read more
Well, it is different to say the least. Not really my cup of tea, but I'll respect the experimentation. 'BOY DESTROYER' is a pretty good track, even if I don't see myself coming back to it much. 'EGO BRUISER' the closer, isn't too bad. The rest however, I really can not grasp all the way up to the point where I literally want to turn it off and cannot listen it anymore. Guess that it just didn't click with me like the rest.

Another of Fantano's EPs, and a great choice at that. A very enjoyable piece of work, kind of a more metal black midi. I think that with some refinement, this band could come out with some fantastic music. So well done Fantano. This is one of the best EPs of 2022.

Wow. This release truly surprised me. It took me out of my comfort zone into a genre in which I rarely explore, and now a genre that I will be coming back too. It opens up with the fantastic 'On My Mind' which is truly one of the most exhilarating tracks this year getting you fully submerged into the trip you're about to experience. We also have the track 'Facebang (Acid mix)', another insane ride through changing tempos tied with an insane instrumental. 'On The Platform' offers some sick synth ... read more
