I'm so glad to have finally gotten around to DATA, because it is genuinely one of the best reggaetón albums I've ever heard. For the most part, the features kill it, and all the producers involved, including Tainy, the artist behind this awesome album, created some incredible beats for this project. This release is nothing but infectiously groovy and wonderfully synthy throughout the vast majority of it's runtime, and it's classic reggaetón drum patterns have just never hit harder. Unfortunately, I can't really speak for this album's lyricism, as I don't understand Spanish, but the delivery of all the singing and rapping on here is pretty great all around, even though there are admittedly a few minute shaky bits. I can admit that this project has moments where it drags it's heels. However, this album's soddy parts are rarely, almost never in your face, especially when you observe them next to highs like MOJABI GHOST and PARANORMAL. So, that's why, despite it's few flaws, I'd recommend Tainy's DATA to anyone looking to get into reggatón, or anybody down to hear some good music in general. This album is more than the confines of it's genre. It's that good.
