Edit - probably a bit too unjustifiably mean towards Gracie. Made an effort to correct this.
Yawn.
Genuine snoozefest. So incredibly boring and unoriginal.
First song is bland, rather repetitive. “Risk” has a stupid annoying guitar, the vocal performance is actually horrid. Not by any objective standards, I just really cannot stand it.
The songs aren’t even that long but it drags, a lot. The songs feel empty, it builds but cannot proceed beyond the very beginning of the ... read more
I fw it. It drags a bit on occasions, but it’s got good energy.
Is it close to Mezzanine or Blue Lines? No. Does it have Karmacoma? Yes.
It naturally doesn’t compare to the previously mentioned albums but it’s has its moments, great ones at that.
Karmacoma is the highlight of the album personally. It really starts to introduce the needed “trip-hop” sound that wasn’t necessarily present on the aforementioned Blue Lines. It is very catchy as well despite its slow tempo.
Euro Child, one of the other standouts, was never truely ... read more
God awful. Would have been better if it was a Ty album, his vocals and verse’s the only redeeming quality.
One good song in burn. Back to me has a wonderful Ty part but it is ruined by Kanye’s absolutely miserable verse. Anything after Carnival is so incredibly forgettable.

Future, isn’t great. Metro is the real dominating quality of this record.
It’s alright, features definitely increase its quality a good bit. Thought I’d was pretty trustworthy though.
Edit - this has grown on me substantially. Despite my previous assertion, Future is pretty good actually. His performance vocally is really impressive - on most tracks - but there are occasions where he feels sleepy, mumbling. This is generally made up by Metro’s excellent ... read more
Rather controversially, I’m not a big fan of The Bends. It, by all metrics, is okay. It has some genuine high points such as Planet Telex, High and Dry, Fake Plastic Trees etc. but the album feels like another piece of guitar music with little experimentation. A natural progression and improvement from Pablo Honey of course, but Radiohead’s quality doesn’t really shine until Ok Computer.
It’s okay, it could have been significantly better.
Blur’s best and their most unique record. Incredibly emotional writing from Damon with some incredible high points such as Tender, Coffee and Tv, and No Distance Left to run. Bugman provides a great contrast to the gospel like Tender along with Caramel being my personal favourite track.
Damon’s best record and Blur’s best album.
Second best thing to come out of Bristol
Incredible album, one of the band’s and the genre’s best. Beth Gibson’s vocals throughout the album are encapsulating.
Hugely underrated and incredible album. See Mi Yah is nothing I’ve yet heard before. Each song flowing seamlessly. It is a great piece of dub.
Big, big fan personally. Great album.
Arguably one of the greatest albums of all time, Ok Computer is my second favourite, behind a certain amnesiac, with it being one of the best albums to come out of the 90s.
More than a *few* highlights of course, but Paranoid android and Karma Police are perfect songs. To remove something from them would to harm the song, the same with adding something. Electioneering, despite being one of the lower rated songs on the album, is a personal favourite with that guitar riff stuck in my head. The ... read more
Utterly brilliant album to which words cannot explain my unrivalled love for this record.
Each and every song is placed perfectly throughout the album, seldom do we see issue with the track list. Mezzanine provides a wide variety of vocal performances through the features and the bands own personal, each brilliant in their own right. No other vocalist was up to the task of singing “teardrop”, with Elizebeth Fraser’s performance being outstanding. She continues to put up ... read more
Marginally enjoyable. The *wobble* that occurs throughout the album really adds an extra dimension I’ve not seen in music. The lyricism on here is top notch, particularly on 11 cents which is the highlight of the album. Brad made something really, really impressive here. It maintains very good song transitions.
People will tend to hate on things innovative and new such as this banger from Brad, but aren’t willing to actually engage in the art effectively nor critically.
Probably ... read more
