To be honest, throughout the first minute, I was wondering why everyone hated this so much. While it wasn't better than the original, it still sounded okay to me. And then the beat dropped, the song turned into a generic dubstep remix, and I went, "Oh, now I get it."
There are little glimmers afterwards where the instruments and lyrics do return, but they don't last long before the dubstep comes back and ruins one of the best songs off the Black Parade LP. Not gonna be ... read more
If there was a word I'd use to describe this song, it's ethereal. Just closing my eyes and listening to the 2nd half of the song was a great experience. I feel like this is gonna be a song I use to help me sleep at night because it sounds so relaxing to me. I highly recommend you do the same.
I give it points for the message it's trying to send, but I probably won't be listening to this anytime soon considering there's nothing but white noise here.
I sometimes listen to this song to help me relax and fall asleep at night. I think that says a lot about the song already, but another highlight is even when Stolas sings louder, with the lyric "And when creation goes to die, you can find me in the sky," it doesn't take the relaxing vibe away.
Speaking in terms of nitpicks, I prefer the song as it's used in the episode, as that lyric I mentioned has a little synthy sound during that bit that kinda feels off to me. In the ... read more
Just a quick note, this is the same guy who made "Can't the Future Wait." And, what a shift from that to this!
From electro swing to jazz to a dramatic orchestral number, the instrumentals are really great! The lyrics and rhymes are also really good, with a pretty great flow to them. I highly recommend you give this a listen, as it is a really good song.
Why does the guy on the cover look like he's about to tell Caillou that he's grounded grounded grounded?
This song is a veiled threat, I swear.
"I don't care about who you are, what you did, where you're from, as long as you love me."
So, what happens when the person stops loving you, then? At that point, are you gonna care about all those things. And that begs the question of what the person in the song will do next.
It's pretty interesting how this banging earworm of a melody can be paired with such dark lyrics, as Kasane sings pleas for help over a tune that would fit a Rhythm Heaven game. The song does a good job with this contrast throughout, which makes it a pretty interesting listen.
"No, guys, listen! It says hallelujah now! Just ignore how the part of the song saying I'm a N**i hasn't changed at all!"
Giving this some points as at times, there seems to be little bits of rhythm and music amidst all the sensory overload nightmare noise. Still wouldn't recommend you listen to this, though.
This and all the other "In One Minute" albums all sound like sensory nightmares. I really hope no one listened to these with headphones on, although it'd be preferable if no one listened to these at all.
Honestly, this is just tragic to see how far this dude's fallen. I like the beat, and the flow, and the actual instrumental itself. And then you listen to the lyrics and it's just him spewing the same hateful bullshit he's been vomiting out over the past couple of months.
"They tellin' me get off of Twitter." Well, maybe you should listen to the people who are telling you to do that because they might have a point.
This song is already pretty bad considering the automated makes it unlistenable. But the fact that it takes a good song and makes it sound this unbearable to listen to makes it even worse.
