this is a very beautiful album. it's digital but not artificial. the sound of this album is natural and comforting while still being hectic and overwhelming. there are many stand out moments on the album like the manic sax solo on Arp 3 for example that make me want to come back to this album more and more. in tone, this album is hopeful and uplifting and it's like the album is wrapping you up in a blanket with how the sounds build and swell and sweep the listener off their feet.
HAHAHAHAHA HE FUCKING WENT WICKIWICKIWICKIWA ON THE LAST SONG AND SAID "YES THATS GOOD IM GOING TO MAKE THAT THE HOOK OF THE SONG" HAHAHAHA OH MY GOD I LOVE THIS MAN
they spent so much effort trying to make an album that sounds big they forgot to make an album that sounds interesting
Kidz Bop's magnum opus. An absolute gem in their vast discography. The passion the gang puts into covering beloved classics such as "Feel Good Inc." and the worst weezer song not only improves the original tracks, but opens up a whole new world of artistic expression for the listener to jump into and explore. The breathtaking performances on songs like "Photograph" (originally by Nickleback) take the original song and its lyricism to new heights. The heartbreak and bitter ... read more
i found this album on a whim and decided to review it. this album is good! a lot of chill trap beats with endearing sounds and a comfy vibe. good for background music, i added a lot of the songs on here to my study playlist. i look forward to future projects. i feel if you were to be working behind a good vocalist or rapper your beats would really elevate their performances
p.s. the piano sound in rogue sounds really cheap. but maybe thats just me.
as a big fan of the under pressure mixtape he dropped in 2014 and not a big fan of anything he dropped after, i was excited yet also hesitant for a sequel to that album. but i have to say, logic didn't disappoint. this is a more thought out and clear album than something like everybody or confessions of a dangerous mind. it feels like logic put the extra effort into his bars and there are some fun insights into his life like on the track "Dadbod" as well as some more sympathetic ... read more
taylor swift's "folklore" feels like taylor showing off her songwriting ability after 2 not great albums. it feels like she has returned to her pop country roots but with a more mature and graceful edge, even though the vibe is more folky (obviously, you can tell from the title). the production is stellar. there's a lot of twinkly guitars and the piano sounds on this album are gorgeous. the sound of this album feels very polished and clean. my main complaint is that sometimes this ... read more
first listen review! i wasn't aware of this band before but i saw the cover floating around and the cover kinda looked like a quiet indie electronica album to me? then the second track came in and it scared the shit out of me. so don't judge an album by it's cover, kids. i enjoyed this album regardless. im not a huge metal fan or anything so i may be out of my habitat here but i think the ambience behind the tracks adds a lot to the feel of the album. it's like behind the raw anger is ... read more
