There is nothing I can say that hasn't already been said about this record. Its fun, its innovative, although some songs outshined others.
This record is piss man. Every song is so damn boring and when it tries to be grand it just doesn't work. From a production side I also wasn't a fan of it.
I had been following this band since they released heroine king as a single and have been enjoying their music. Although i never wrote a review of this album before now, i really enjoyed this project on release top to bottom. I think people are quick to jump to giving this album low scores just because TND rated it as such, but its a great listen.
One the first listen, this album is more ambient than the last one but at the same time still hits all the peaks at the right times.
I was originally going to write a long essay here to express my absolute disbelief of how flawless this record is but I chose not to do it. All I am going to say is that you should go listen to this one. It isn't as intimidating as LYSFLATH due to having shorter songs but it still packs the same emotional punch the aforementioned album does.
This record is pretty decent, nothing more. It has some high points and low points. The hate this has received has been way out of proportion.
After 2 months of getting L2 recommended to me by Spotify almost on daily basis, I decided to give this record a try. To say that I was surprised by this record is almost like saying nothing at all. This album absolutely blew me out of the water. The peaks are astronomical (ha ha) and every build up feels ... read more
Up and down is truly unlistenable, actually one of the worst songs ever created. Overall this record sucks.
I would love to hate on this record, but it wasn't horrible honestly, some songs were quite enjoyable.
Some songs on this record are garbage, for overall it just just quite mid.
This is actually extremely fun and seems to get better with each listen.
