Madison Beer - Silence Between Songs
42

I don't understand how people listen to this and think its interesting. Every song sounds similar to one another and they are all extremely safe, nothing stands out.

Dream - to whoever wants to hear
31

Dude, people told me I wouldn't want to hear this, I listened to it regardless. I can honestly tell you, this record is not good but it is not as bad as people have rated it to be.

Jeff Rosenstock - SKA DREAM
75

I feel like this album is hard to rate because some songs are improvements over originals yet others are not. Overall it feels about equal.

black midi - Hellfire
93

Coming into this record I had absolutely zero clue what I was getting myself into. While on the first listen I didn't quite get it (partly due to never hearing anything from black midi before) after I listened to this record another 3 or so times it grew on me massively. Now it is among my favorite albums of all time.

Quadeca - SCRAPYARD
93

One of the best and weirdest albums I have heard in a while from this genre. This record not only has every song fit perfectly with each other but also manages to never get boring even after a few listens.

After giving a few songs more listens, I have decided to down my rating to 93 from 100, I don't think this record is "perfect".

83 -> 100 -> 93

Tom MacDonald - FACTS
0

My favorite stand up comic drops some bars.

glass beach - plastic death
68

With every track Glass Beach takes you on a trip through emotions. From slow and beautiful to powerful and terrifying, this album has it all.

Jeff Rosenstock - WORRY.
100

WORRY is not only an album filled with bangers all the way through but also touches on political subjects that are still very relevant to this day. Every song is memorable in its own way and there is no track that feels out of place. WORRY is no doubt one of the greatest records in the Pop Punk genre.

Jeff Rosenstock - We Cool?
76

Jeff Rosenstock brings out a wonderful album with some great tracks on it.

EDEN - ICYMI
83

Eden not only steps it up with his newest record but also manages to release an album that I feel has next to no weaknesses. Every song on this one feels thought through and nothing feels like a filler. Top to bottom great album.

EDEN - no future
69

While this record is better than the last, I feel the issues I had with the last one are also present in this one. Some songs are undoubtedly great, but others just feel subpar in comparison.

EDEN - vertigo
66

EDEN released an album that, while having its high notes, lacks a bit of substance to me.

EDEN - i think you think too much of me
72

This was the first time i heard of EDEN and i have been a fan ever since. Thinking back this record, it has some insane bangers but it once again seems a bit outdated.

EDEN - End Credits
70

A great album for its time, but sounds kind of outdated by todays standards.

Maruja - Knocknarea
91

One of the best albums of 2023

Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Lift Yr. Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven!
100

Probably the best the genre has ever sounded and will ever sound. Absolutely magical.

PUP - Morbid Stuff
82

While I am not the biggest fan of some of the ideas on this record, there is little doubt in my mind that this album stands out as both fun and creative.

PUP - The Dream Is Over
81

One of the best Pop Punk records in recent times.

Black Country, New Road - Ants From Up There
100

Beautiful, heart wrenching, emotional music. This will be remembered as one of the greatest albums tens of years from now. Truly enchanting start to finish

"yeah, its like you took words out of my mouth. I dont really get this hype, i feel like when you listen to this album in full front to back because every song sounds almost exactly the same, it becomes boring after first 5."

"honestly based. Psychoboost is an insane song imo but some other songs on the album are straight up unlistanable for example the first song."

"@Metformin Yeah, but its not only about the name BCNR. We see records utilising old school musical ideas incorporated into music for the modern listener all the time on this website and hear a lot of praise for it even if it might not actually be great music. I hope the full album either runs with this baroque style and somehow makes a song like this work when in context of the album, or goes a little bit more in the direction of their magnum opus. So far i am quite disappointed."
