Yeah, this is some incredible stuff. Before I even start talking about this album, what an amazing album cover. This is legitimately one of my favorites, and I would love to get a poster of this on my wall. The cover looks like it's out of some old-school cartoon or movie. Now, this album is a huge step up from their previous project. As the title of the album would suggest, this album has a sci-fi, futuristic kind of vibe to it. The term ATliens represents how Outkast feels coming out of Atlanta. They feel almost isolated in a way, however this term is used to praise the unique artists that have come from Atlanta. This album is just filled with incredible rapping performances from the duo, and a lot of introspective tracks which discuss real issues. It's also filled with stories about their come-up and their current status in the rap world. The production is still mainly boom-bap, but with a mix of soul and other elements like in their last album. I think the main focus of this album is more on the rapping, while their last project had a big emphasis on making catchy bangers. Don't get me wrong, this album has some catchy bangers, but there is such a big focus on the rapping. Overall, this is an excellent album with absolutely no misses whatsoever.
