I think the title of “Beware the Friendly Stranger” represents Geogaddi very well. It’s welcoming and unwelcoming, warm and cold, familiar and unfamiliar. The album lets the listener into its world of occultism and degraded analog synths and does not give them a clue as to what any of its contents might mean as a whole, shrouding it in mystique.
