Conway the Machine - Slant Face Killah
78

SFK is officially 4th solo studio album from Conway the Machine.
Sound and production on this album are really good, basically it's a mixture of boom bap and trap sound.
I like him better on simplistic boom bap production and soulful production.
Lot of producers contributed on this album, some of them are Cool & Dre, Daringer, Conductor, Beat Butcha, The Alchemist, Swizz Beatz & Don Cannon.
As in previous projects we got I would say Conway's signature sound, mixture of ... read more

Benny the Butcher - Everybody Can't Go
84

4th studio album from Benny The Butcher, his first album released through Def Jam Records.
I have to highlight the production the most, absolutely top-notch production with dope beats.
Album is produced by The Alchemist and Hit-Boy.
The Alchemist contributed dark, minimalistic and muddy beats and Hit-Boy contributed high energy, melodic and triumph beats.
For me production is kind of balance between Burden of Proof album and Tana Talk series albums, but maybe those mention albums are slightly ... read more

Slim Thug - Tha Thug Show
72

Slim Thug's third studio album is slightly weaker release compared to the first two albums.
Despite of that we still got a very good album with some fantastic songs, lot of bangers and few radio friendly songs.
Maybe those radio songs are the weakest link, they sound a little generic to me.
In general songs are great, Slim Thug is still lyrically on point, talking about hood, cars, his lifestyle and his life in general.
Very good bass heavy southern production with some melodic tunes as ... read more

Trae Tha Truth - Life Goes On
83

Very slept on release from Trae The Truth.
Nothing but fire on this album, his lyrics, his flow and delivery and guest verses.
He is not only talking gangsta and street stuff, he have some deep songs when he talks about real life struggles.
Fantastic production on this album with lot of bass and hard minimalistic beats.
Mr. Lee, Mike Dean and I.N.F.O. are some of the producers.
Lot of features, some of them are 2Pac, Slim Thug, Lil Wayne, Yung Joc Jadakiss, Styles P. etc.
Quality southern hip ... read more

Trae Tha Truth - Restless

Restless is such a raw and energetic hip hop album, full of dope beats and flows.
Amazing production in general. Q-Stone, Mike Dean and Mr. Lee are some of the producers.
Lot of great guest verses, catchy hooks and Trae's fantastic flow.
Some of the features are Yung Joc, Bun B, Paul Wall, Three 6 Mafia, Z-Ro, Lil Keke and 2Pac.
Trae shows his versatility, creativity and authenticity and he talks about are materialistic things, life struggles, streets tales etc.
This album slaps very ... read more
