Snoop's second release with No Limit is "this is more like it" comparing to his debut or his first No Limit release.
Of course nothing is compared to Doggystyle, but what I mean is more west coast sound comparing to his 2nd and 3rd album. Production is very dope to me.
Responsible for that is Dr. Dre and DJ Quik, which are produced a couple of tracks each.
Usually I don't have a problem with the length of the album, but it is tricky because you really must have a quality album to ... read more

3rd LP and first release through No Limit Records. At first I was disappointed and I think this album is just terrible.
Almost two decades later I change my mind a lilttle bit. It is far away from good album, but it is decent enough to enjoy let's say a half an album.
To me one of the major problems are the beats and production in general. All producers sticks to a sound which is to me same as everything No Limit done before. Master P is executive producer.

Slim Thug delivers on his sophomore album. It's hard for me to choose which one I prefer more between his debut and this one. Production on this album is phantastic, classic southern beats mostly produced by Mr. Lee and one fire song from Dr. Dre and Mannie Fresh.
Slim Thug covered various topics and he sounds very raw, his voice and flow fits perfectly through this production.
Some of the choruses could be better and in a few tracks lyrically he should have done better.

Another one of those albums that I appreciate more today then I was before.
I overlooked this album in early 00's.
I think this album would be better if it was a little shorter. Somehow I lose focus on a few songs.
Reason for that is mostly tracks with similar beats and bad production choices, although most of beats in general are good to me. Swizz Beatz, Scott Storch, DJ Scratch, Notz among others handled the production.
Heavy features such as: Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, DMX, JAY-Z & ... read more

When Disaster Strikes...is oldie but goldie album.
Raw and powerfull sophmore album with the same or even better intesity and energy comparing with his debut.
Production mostly handled by DJ Scratch, features from The Flipmode Squad, Diddy & Erykah Badu.
Timeless hits on this album.
Amazing flows, wordplay and delivery from Busta, truly unique. Some hooks I don't like on this album.

Standout tracks: Survival Hungry, Turn It Up, Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See, Rhymes Galore, ... read more

I'm bored and so decided to make another community list; this time,

What is a record you believe has defined its genre albeit through exemplifying its sound, shaping said genre, or has established said genre in popularity and/or existence, and why?
