Pretty cohesive, only a few I expect to go back to over time. But her punchy lyrics are still there in force with a little more vulnerability. A good snapshot of where she is, even if it’s slightly trodden ground already.

Unfortunately nothing here to really grasp onto. I appreciate them trying things out but it didn't turn into something that felt authentic to me. You end up being able to hear the work a little too much. One or two songs I might play from time to time.
Effortlessly beautiful, carried by that special voice Michael Kiwanuka has. Pretty much every song he has is a pleasure to listen to and this is no different. It might not be reinventing the wheel but I’d imagine this will get a lot of play with me. It’s music that makes you feel good and yearning and nostalgic all at once.
I was definitely interested from the couple of songs we got in advance but I actually think Father John Misty held back the best of this record. His writing is still incredibly intelligent and the sonic soundscape builds on my favourite songs of his from the past. A great creative achievement.
Faves: John Tillman and the Accidental Dose, Mental Health, I Guess Time Just Makes Fools of Us All, Summer’s Gone
Finneas's own music is a very different world to what he does with Billie. Often it works for me, sometimes I wish he was pushing his own stuff further. That said, I did enjoy this. It's got a funky vibe to it and he's great with the guitar sounds. At the same time it's a relaxed album, it could happily accompany me on any day. I expect it'll end up in the rotation.
Faves: for cryin' out loud, little window, 2001, family feud
