chills my soul right to the marrow!!!!!!!

i love this album cover. i love the bay window and curtains. her outfit and hair. the cat. the blue tones with the red writing. the dark background and soft light window. banging album cover. big fan. it fits the coziness and vulnerability of the album so well.

Breeze in the trees ass album. Beautiful during the day and a bit haunting in the dark. The guitar with Vernon's falsetto vocals is just chef's fricken kiss. The layering, lyrics and vocals are beautiful. It does get a little old though, making it hard to get through a 37 min album. 'Skinny Love' is an incredible song. Prior to last year, I didn't know it was by Bon Iver. I thought it was by 'Birdy'. I think I first heard it in dance class in like 2011/2012. I ... read more

Such a beautiful, bitter sweet album that means so, so, so much to me. The composition, instrumentals, lyrics and vocals are just next level. Listening feels like sniffling and cracking up and smiling after crying. Hugging your family or friend after a breakup. Sitting next to a fire during winter. Going for a walk and looking into water. Glimpses of sun on a cloudy, foggy day. I say a lot of albums are beautiful and moving but this one I can feel in my heart and soul and entire being. Feels ... read more

I adore this album. Tracy Chapman is such a beautiful story teller with such a memorable and emotive voice. I can remember talking to my dad about her vocals over a decade ago, talking about how insanely talented she is. The first four songs on this album are 100s for me. I love how they sound, the themes, the lyrics and how Tracy sings them. 'Behind the Wall' is so well written and beautifully sang and gut-wrenching. The second half of this album is less my thing lyrically, vocally ... read more
