simple enjoyable and pretty guitar loops surrounded by nature and the occasional sci-fi sound. it comes together quite nicely. just sit down, relax, and fall into it.
my favorite here is got me wrong, which is arguably a little catchier and hook-based than alice in chains is usually known for! i just really enjoy the vibe alice in chains is so good at creating and living within.
state's my favorite here. mystery's practically an otomad, which made me laugh really hard, so i enjoyed that one too. the rest is okay dinky background music.
kind of ass. everything's a bit incohesive, synths bounce off of each other like repelling liquids. the singing is eternally a little bit out of tune too. it's just not very effective at living inside of the vibe that you're supposed to feel.
real strong 70 here! enjoyable alternative rock clearly influenced by the greats woven with it's own original sonic ideas and 90's irony lyricism.

tuyu's compositions have just incredible guitar lick after guitar lick, but that's the only thing that really stands out here. everything here sounds so samey, even when employing different instrumental ideas, it's all built around this very stereotypical j-poprock climax. stick to the hits from here.
endlessly fun and already feels iconic, like something everyone cool has listened to. listened to while waiting in line for build-a-bear
you know it's scary when you're like "i could probably fall asleep to this"
feels like it's existed forever. like something i would have listened to on the youtube app that used to just come on iphones, sitting in the dark closet, trying to understand darkness. just agonizing.
it doesn't stray far from it's dark distorted guitars, but that keeps this a tight package. really great.
soundtrack to a potential hot topic store made only for like. ren faire girls. like all plastic fairy wings and blown glass and cultural appropriation type.
disturbing and cathartic, noise that makes you feel sick. i believe the title track would have been more effective scattered throughout the album or shortened to six minutes, but i get it. who are we to say "effective" anyways? do we just consume the art as the monotone and when it makes us uncomfortable we flee? well i think that's what william might say but uh yanno i'm not him so. i do think everyone should listen to this though
newjeans sees a downgrade in hooks, but their polish still shines on their second ep. newjeans and eta are the mvps, i'm disappointed at how... atonal? asap came out, especially for that insane earworm "tiktiktiktaktiktatik". their chart dominance is completely warranted though, as hybe gets even more western backing and money poured into it. unequivocally kpop has made it's imprint on the us pop charts, even while having korean lyrics. i'm not sure if this turning point in pop music ... read more
in 2016 francis forever came up on my spotify discover radio and all the time i think about the crazy hipster points i would have got if i liked it then
