felt this was much better than it's getting credit for, people are still, in my opinion, too eager to discredit beer as an artist.
Elizabeth Taylor is the only redeeming quality of this record. Taylor's downfall is to be studied, how can you follow the greatness of Folkmore with the last 3 albums? Hope this is is rock bottom.
a massive disappointment that shows she might need to put down the family dog and move on from jack antonoff. max martin sorely missed. clean is still a banger. the original one still one of my alltime faves.
You know how people say "this album slaps". This one kicks, punches, grabs an AR-15 and shoots you.
If we ignore Reputation and Lover, this is actually her worst album, and it's still okay.
came here thinking this album was well beloved and i am shocked at the complaints. silky smooth and no skips, one of the better records of the year.
everything everywhere all at once for experimental hip hop
Metalheads: Black people in metal should be celebrated.
Also metalheads: Too much black culture in this album, 5/10.
too polished and "lo-fi beats to study" for me... kali uchis can do much better.
there is potential, especially in the bridges that abrams write, but paired with some truly mediocre position, this debut doesn't fully stand out in a sea of singer-songwriter albums.
it's like an exhausting therapy session where you are forced to relive all your trauma yet you still come out of it feeling better.
the title track is awesome, and you shouldn't feel bad for thinking the rest of the album would be more of the same. sadly, it isn't. damon albarn reaches new levels of obnoxiousness that make it very difficult to suspend disbelief and enjoy the album.
