Album Review #97
An ultimately whelming collection of consistent tracks. The best parts of the album where all the times he infused other genres into his current dreamy sound, Fox & Birch being especially notable. I just wish the project had at least one more standout moment, because overall I think it lacks some oomph, a big colorful bow to wrap the entire experience with.
Favourite Songs: Versailles Flow, Fox & Birch, Scab

y'know I made my initial review as a little joke after hearing like half of a song cuz I genuinely and earnestly expected the usual Vylet Pony experience of the one or 2 really good songs I get out of her projects. I didn't come here with a negative bias. What I certainly did not expect is to hear the worst album I've ever heard in my entire life. After finishing at first I wasn't sure if it even deserves a full review but seeing the reaction to this project ... read more

Wow this is just so dreary in the coolest way possible. Captivatingly gray, open fields of flowers as you slowly walk against the wind and the skies dusk. It pulls your attention the same way an open wound you are bleeding out of would. The blood would look great as contrast to the snow that hasn't melted yet. As an aside, ignoring life and death, pushing daisies moves my own imagination in ways music rarely does.
Favourite Songs: lochness, skipping tiles, daisy pusher

The vocal feels so fresh and minty, which does wonders on top of the already impressive production. Deeply infectious track

While in some ways it feels a little one dimensional, it excels at everything else so much it doesn't really matter. Also hits a certain vibe I chase for all the time in music.

A consistent album with some of Osamason's highest highs. The energy on songs like Habits and Addicted is so concentrated it feels like caffeine drilled directly into your skull, like the Rage is so pure that it feels straight up scientific. This is most likely because this project has some of the greatest, noisiest, punchiest production in the genre. I had genuine and honest to god chills listening to Inferno.
Favourite Songs: Habits, Addicted, Inferno

A return to form the likes of which I haven't seen in forever, if not EVER at all like I genuinely cannot believe this is the same person that made LLF. The transitions between each track are super clean and it gives the entire project a momentum that just keeps on snowballing down the track list, making for a very satisfying listen. The "see you soon </3" EP made me have high hopes for the full project, and it actually delivered.

Fun little project though you definitely get a feeling like it's just a mishmash of styles clearly inspired by someone else, though it's like one of those situations where the end product is genuinely pretty much as good as the original, like a shoe that's technically a chinese bootleg but you would have to analyze it for 10 minutes to find out its fake. Anyways I would be open to hearing more
Favourite Songs: paper planes, equilibrium, music god

I think it is important to note that I only listened to a couple songs here and there from Lil Peep before he passed away, but even back then I was aware of just how impactful his music was (and still is) on a wider scale. I will admit that the fact he's gone has influenced my score and general perception of his work, now that I revisit a project from him properly. It's just impossible for me to separate the deep cutting melancholy of the music and the story of Lil ... read more

Very elegant and fun little ep from Nett. The first song resembles the insane rage from BAFK while the 2nd is closer to his older, more jerk-like stuff from 2023 and earlier. I really liked that contrast. I hope the full album comes soon
Favourite Songs: stressed, her friends

Wow I liked this a lot more than Revengeseekerz. It's kind of hard to put into words the exact reason as to why, but to me Indie Rock just feels much more honest than RS. Jane Remover gets rid of that awkward EDM fusion and does the rage justice, using the framework of the genre for it's intended purpose. Maybe it's just me but it always felt like RS had this holier-than-thou attitude towards it's contemporaries, though it is entirely possible I felt that ... read more

A nice EP from xav. I love his sound in general but this project simply did not blow me away. Solid

The way I would describe my experience with this album is like. Seeing a marble statue of a Greek god being chiseled in the 21st century. The craftsmanship is extremely impressive but I thought we moved on from those. This is a great album but it also treads on only already explored ground, which is just not my preference. It's polished to damn near perfection in it's lane but I'm more keen on albums that push the boundaries onto uncharted territories. ... read more

I really wish I loved it even more. I think from the outside it deserves all the praise it is getting, at times sounding so gorgeous and beautiful I found it like, morally difficult to not rate it higher. Which sounds insane when you consider how high my score already is. But there are moments that just don't click with me personally, despite perfectly fitting the aural narrative of the project. And it's entirely a me problem. Very difficult feeling to explain. ... read more

I totally get why people call it a Carti tribute album. Good listen for sure, but I found it less creative yet more polished and cohesive than Sayso Says. Doesn't necessarily make it significantly worse, just a trade off. It's still a generational rage project that hits all the buttons it needs to just right.
Favourite Songs: HOOD FAMOUS, DIOR LEOPARD, MANNEQUIN

The beat genuinely feels third eye opening. The way his vocal sits on top of it before the bass gets louder and louder and completely swallows his voice whole is so satisfying. It's a "you've been standing your whole life and you finally just sat down" type feeling can't describe it any other way. This random single might just be my song of the year as of July.
Single Review #15
Pure, unfiltered explosive energy delivered directly to the brain. Sound-wise, this is what Rage is supposed to be at its core. One of his best singles, if not one of his best songs.
Album Review #84
In a genre where every artist fights desperately to stand out, fakemink does it effortlessly, with a unique brand of cloud rap done the old way spearheaded by his very recognizable vocal. He captures the spirit of cloud rap and encases it in an atmospheric fog so dense it's pretty much opaque.
Favourite Songs: Kill Everything, London Life, Celebrity Deathmatch

My goat is back. After the rather disappointing Love Lasts Forever, lone is back to making genuinely great music. He hasn't sounded this good since like, No Stylist. Ridiculous comeback. Genuinely got me excited for broken hearts 3 now.

I'm not sure how to explain it but this album felt much "kinder" than the cover led me to believe, well either way it was just good music. Awesome production throughout. Personally, I liked the trip hop-influenced stuff the most, like Tequila Coma, and I wish there was more of that, but the project still felt good as a fusion of many ideas.
Favourite Songs: Tequila Coma, What3vr, Evangelic Girl is a Gun
