Kix - Blow My Fuse

A fun listen.

Black Sabbath - Master of Reality
100

My favorite Sabbath album. If course there's also Vol. 4. But this one I was always answer with when asked what's the favorite from Sabbath.

Farewell, Ozzy. No one else could have sang better for Sabbath on an album such as this. Some of Geezer's best lyrics, Tony's best guitar work, and sound. And who could forget how great of a rhythm section Geezer and Bill are.

This is the beginning of Stoner Metal. And even the gateway towards Grunge.

Black Sabbath - Heaven and Hell
80

One of Sabbath's best albums. While I do prefer Ozzy era Sabbath with "Master of Reality" being my favorite Sabbath album. Credit must be given to Dio for breathing new life into a band that was already being seen as has beens by the time the 70s ended. I say this is one of Sabbath's best albums because of that reason, and because it includes a few Sabbath classics like the title track and "Children of the Sea".

Mötley Crüe - Cancelled
30

Band past their prime release new material. A 3 EP song that isn't the slight bit of fun to listen to. Motley Crue's best albums were their first two albums, and even the Self-Titled album without Vince Neil isn't bad.

Dogs of War: The first single released. A song that is as generic as it gets. Ironically, the best track from the EP.

Fight for your Right (You've Gotta): A cover no one asked for. The irony flew over the Crue's head.

Cancelled: Old guys complaining ... read more

KISS - Love Gun
90

I've always been lukewarm on Kiss. I liked a few songs here & there, but then I decided to evacuate their 70s discography. Their albums can be hit or miss, but when they hit, they hit with fun songs that are catchy, and cheesy. But it's okay to have some cheese. I learned to go with the flow when it comes to Kiss and just enjoy the music.

Sure, I've never found them life changing like the die hard fans do, but everyone hears music differently. And with this album I hear a good, party Rock ... read more

AC/DC - Powerage
88

Rock & Roll should be loud & hard hitting and this album certainly deliver in those terms.
This could be my favorite AC/DC album.

Mötley Crüe - Too Fast for Love
80

Motley Crue's best album.

Kendrick Lamar - Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers
95

5 years after DAMN comes Mr. Morales and The Big Steppers. DAMN was the last album Kendrick released before hitting the age of thirty. Now he's a thirty four years of age and a father of two.
Kendrick Lamar has always been a serious artist. He's a mature storyteller with socially conscious lyrics. Here on Mr. Morales and The Big Steppers he releases his most mature effort to date. Entering the next phase of his life, experiencing fatherhood and his fame.

The Doors - Strange Days
98

My favorite Doors album. It's so moody, dark, mysterious at times.

Neil Young - Everybody's Rockin'
60

I changed my rating from a 50 to 60. Because I have a weird a soft spot for this album. Because it's a fun album to put on the turntable at 24 minutes. Because it's just Neil's middle finger to his record label. Because it doesn't overstay it's welcome at 24 minutes. Because Neil might of had fun making this album, even if it does sound uninspired. Because, well just because.

Rob Zombie - The Lunar Injection Kool Aid Eclipse Conspiracy
65

Starts off promising, but begins to lose it's promise with less memorable tracks. Still, not a terrible album, some choice tracks here and there, particularly "The Eternal Struggles Of The Howling Man" and "Shake Your Ass-Smoke Your Grass."

Aerosmith - Rocks
100

The only perfect Aerosmith album in my opinion.
