Okay, I admit I had high expectations, but after listening I felt absolutely nothing. It's like the album, the tracks, the lyrics, and the voice were empty... without any sentimental value that would make me feel like there's a human being talking to me there.
Wow. I loved her voice so much while the rock beat echoed in my ears, each track was in a different tone but at the same time repetitive (which made me not increase the rating even more).
This is the first album I've listened to by Russellbuck, and I find it extremely mid. I admit I loved the danceable, energetic, and silly tracks, but it seems to me that this was done based on an implicit cover that draws attention to gooners to stream it. I'm already tired of seeing that a large part of the furry scene, musically speaking, is ravepop/hyperpop.
I loved the album's sonic and indie vibe; I felt liberated listening to each track and appreciating a good piece of work from the furry community. However, I confess I found the vocals and sound a bit generic; I feel the band could have gone further with this album and done something new... even so, I was quite satisfied with this album.
Lana Del Rey finally released the third single from Stove, and I loved its experimentation and sound—a raw and gritty beginning followed by a silly and pretty melody, reminiscent of old Disney animations. However, it still seems to me that Lana was somewhat repetitive with her own sound and slightly disappointed my expectations for the song.
