a REALLY good companion piece to are you lonely? she mentioned that this is a "Deluxe" in her eyes, being that all these songs were written in the same headspace as AYL, and it shows. every song was AWESOME and a lot of it reminded me of early 2020's hyperpop. shteppi the goat.
Aside from swaggot, anticipating this release from shteppi was. worrying. not at the music, but the concept. The concept of a stalker impersonating someone they adore, going to the point of stalking them and killing Them is scarily realistic and really unsettled me.
Are You Lonely takes the concepts of the ARG and uses them sparsely through the songs, with a lot of them ending with short interlude of what I assume Elliot talking to Stephanie about their intentions. listening to this at 12 am ... read more
Quality over quantity has always been april's thing, and "U" showcases that in nine short songs that never overstay their welcome.
Innuendo is the hottest song i've ever heard rivaling music baby and it made me think MOMMYSCORES so hard during that premiere. She's 3 for 3 and whatever is up next is going to be just as exciting.
