y’all are tweaking this album is so cool. i love gunn’s dusty vinyl stuff but the way his voice sounds over “typical” trap beats is such a fun dichotomy. kostas sent my jaw to the floor
was very excited for this record but came away really disappointed. besides some highlights like Cybertruck and VOU 787, the production is dated and too minimalist for bad bunny’s monotone flows. maybe next time
one of the worst first listens in his entire discography. a blockbuster album that holds no charm or interesting ideas. an absolute step down from both HNVM and Her Loss. there are a couple songs that are growing on me (Rich Baby Daddy, Drew a Picasso, Fear of Heights) but besides that I am less and less likely to return to this project as the weeks go on
loading is one of the best songs i’ve heard this year. a phenomenal concept record that would sound insane in a shit venue off a bean
the album that secured his legacy as an above average feature artist and nothing more
genuinely one of the better rap records of the year. love quavo’s vulnerability and his decision to play with some different styles allows for a lot of flexibility. rip take
i actually weirdly like the aesthetic of this one (especially in the beats) but not much else. lucki's sleepy delivery is cool for maybe three tracks. desperately needed features. oh well.
condense this down to 12 tracks and you'd probably have a great record. flooded the face is amazing, and the run from nakamura to fire alarm + werewolf are some of the best uzi tracks i've heard. there's just far too much filler and far too much mid within that. hopefully this goes the same route as eternal atake and the "deluxe" second album is leagues ahead.
if this is a response to gunna, he failed. as it's own record, it's just fine. oh u went and uncle m are dope tracks but there's little substance or fun in these records. its definitely well made, it just doesn't warrant repeat listens. so much fun is still his peak.
this is the closest thing he's ever made to rodeo, but it sounds nothing like rodeo. the beat switch on thank god, the ending of my eyes, the feature on meltdown, the entirety of telekinesis. man... it's seriously all blockbuster shit. sonically its out of this world. harpsichord shit on sirens, travis' version of rage beats on fe!n, the alchemist switch up on lost forever, it all makes for one of the best first listens i've ever had. this is probably mainstream album of the year, and in my ... read more
no features and no wheezy makes this comeback record tuff asf. bro put his money where his mouth is and delivered 15 pretty quality trap bangers. i wish there were features to break up some of the sonic monotony and that he rapped less about the snitching allegations, but overall a very cool record to add to his pretty stellar discography
