This was my first time listening to Lip Critic, and let's just say I was not disappointed. Such a fun listen, the production is outstanding, and I really love how they blend in different genres like synth link, industrial, etc. The vocals are hit or miss for me, I seen someone say "this sounds a bit too much like Fred Durst doing an impression of Death Grips" and I can not unhear it now lol. This album isn't bad by any means, but it's so bloated, the production is so repetitive & basic for most of the album, the flows are good, and the lyrics are good but at times can be corny. I've always thought Cole was a good rapper, but he is not very good at making albums. This is a 70 on a good day, and definitely could drop down for me. First off I want to say, this is my first time ever listening to this band. So I didn't have any expectations going into this, but I am so glad I jumped into this wild ride of an album. The melodies are excellent, brining a unique soundscape to Blackgaze I've never really heard before.
