yea it's wraps, this shit is album of the year contender. what a fucking experience from top to bottom bro. there was only ONE SONG that didn't stick to me like the rest however, all of it was fucking great!
somebody else put it nicely to describe this album, but it's so fucking summer heavy and from top to bottom, was such a great listening experience!
insane work for this to be a 46 cause it wasn't that bad
i think the first five songs are pretty enjoyable, tracks 7 - 10 are like the peak standouts of this album. then, the album just dives after that point, with the last song being very fucking surprising and strange because the way their voices are mixed into like the vocoder doesn't CLASH well whatsoever.
Okay, production and everything is good. However, everything ends up blending together, and it ends up becoming FUCKING boring to listen to towards the last portion of the album. I'll give it props for being a chill vibe though, however fucking hell, change it up somewhere.
Really nice improvement to Harry's House, an album that I thought was pretty mediocre. The album does drag at first before reaching its' potential before fucking it up heavily with Dance No More, and then proceeds to make up for it with the last two songs.
yk what's crazy, she hasn't missed with singles at ALL. i've never been so excited for an album since MAYHEM and Breach last year.
i can't believe i never rated this shit on here. this is fucking amazing. i've been listening to this since it came out, i'm in AWE.
now, i've grew up listening to melanie's music since cry baby came out. it wasn't until after PORTALS where i stepped away completely because as i kept listening to PORTALS, every song EXCEPT the contortionist started to age a lot more poorly with each listen. then i went back to cry baby which aged EVEN worst for me, but somehow i still enjoy a lot of k-12. anyways, i haven't really heard anything melanie related that wasn't the contortionist since may 2023. however ... read more
As the number one Joji glazer, this was worth the silence and wait. Felt like a mixture of his older albums into one album. Sounds of BALLADS 1 really sticking out towards the middle half, and the sounds of Nectar sticking out towards the first half.
Favorite Tracks: PIXELATED KISSES, Last of a Dying Breed, LOVE YOU LESS, Love Me Better, Piece of You, Hotel California, Forehead Touch The Ground, Past Won't Leave My Bed, Fade to Black, CAN'T SEE SHIT IN THE CLUB, Sojourn, DYKILY, Rose ... read more
I missed out on listening to this when it initially released, however, I listened to Star Line for the first time in October since he was coming to my campus and doing a hour long talk about the album. Truly a bounceback from what The Big Day was, production was on point and one of his strongest songwritings in awhile. I already had high expectation since the singles leading up to this album like "The Heart & The Tongue", which didn't make this album, and "The High & ... read more
this song fucking sucks and the five points is for somehow making it into a spongebob movie.
my friends played this for me during halloween on a train ride back from the city. i was left baffled most of the time, though there was some moments where I did laugh. would i come back to this satirical project? i don't think so.
Honestly, the song isn't that bad, and it's far better than anything off 143. Could've been worst. I'd probably come back to this in the future, probably wouldn't.
