The singles for this album were consistently great so I had high hopes yet this still beat my expectations. Lyrics, production, features, instrumentation, and sequencing are all pretty flawless. You can hear how laboured over and carefully crafted this album is the whole way through, really authentic and striking listen.
Highlights: everything
Disappointing listen after how much I enjoyed Take Care, his flows are still nice but this felt uninspired and boring
shaping up to be my aoty off first listen, Freddie and Alchemist have perfected this sound and given it new life through the 'ikigai' concept while crafting a cohesive sequel to Alfredo. will do a full review at some point.
highlights: 1995, Ensalada, Empanadas, Skinny Suge II, Feeling, I Still Love H.E.R., Gas Station Sushi, Lavish Habits, Gold Feet, Jean Claude, A Thousand Mountains (might have just listed the whole tracklist)
a dance/disco reincarnation of cherry bomb, loved the second half. fun mixtape to follow up a heavier concept album.
highlights: big poe, sugar on my tongue, ring ring ring, don’t tap the glass, don’t you worry baby, i’ll take care of you
