started to dive into their discography and I'm not surprised that it's all fire. very unique band and some of my favorite lyrics in the post-hardcore adjacent scene.
they're definitely drawing inspiration from bands like The Killers, Kings of Leon, Arcade Fire, etc. here. I like it a lot -- these songs are BUILT for arenas. anthemic and emotional with hints of their older, more hardcore sound barely mixed in. I really love this. lyrically, this frontdude has always hit a tender spot for me.
these songs sound so damn happy, but most of them are damn sad.
definitely an originator of the melodic hardcore sound, which I respect, but this wasn't for me. riffs were sick but it was a bit too chaotic for me. maybe I gotta rinse it more
