More of an homage to punk than anything else, this is a short project that will absolutely kill in a live setting, but leaves a bit to be desired as a whole. I still always love heavy, fuzzed out Osees, and it leaves me looking forward to whatever they have for us next.
Don't know if it's the more modern production, but this fills alot of the dissatisfaction I have with Loveless. It's a bit more scattershot but I found myself way more engaged, and did not want to smash my head into a wall by the end of it.
I've tried so hard to like this album. For years I've kept listening and hoping I'd find what I was missing, but I think I've finally realized I just can't like it. There's obviously a few good tracks, but a masterpiece as a whole? I'd rather sit at a construction site and listen to that.
