“Javelin” is Sufjan Stevens’ 10th studio album and one of the highest ranked of 2023, so I wanted to revisit it.
This album takes direction from very tragic events in Sufjan’s life, his partner Evans Richardson died in April of 2023, he also was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome, a syndrome that weakens your muscles and damages your neurons. This is heavy information to start with, those events are very sad on them own but how they’re reflected in this ... read more
“For All The Dogs” is Drake’s 9th studio album and I wanted to revisit it, even if it’s not an impactful record for sure is one of the biggest events of 2023.
Drake was quite in a run before the album dropped, after he dropped his worst project in his career with “Honestly, Nevermind” in 2022, he dropped his best since 2015 with “Her Loss” in collaboration with 21 Savage, followed by great features like “Oh U Went” and ... read more
“UTOPIA” is Travis Scott’s fourth solo album and the biggest album of 2023, so I wanted to revisit it.
My biggest fear with this record was that it would be “ASTROWORLD” leftovers the same way “Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight” was from “Rodeo” the time between his past work was huge and how Travis’ managed himself to collaborate with big brands leaved a great space to experiment and expand his sound, but in the meantime the festival ... read more
boring and uninspired, "Sol María" is Eladio Carrión's fifth studio album and it was announced and promoted to be his most personal yet, well, that's not what this record is, this album is bland, not only it lacks substance but the production and deliveries are boring and redundant. Dedicating this to your mother should be illegal.

"Veteran" is one of the most intriguing rap albums of all time. Six years later seeing Peggy progressing on these ideas on albums like "LP!" is incredible, this record is such a guesser game, the production is mindblowing, "1539 N. Calvert" is one of the best produced hip-hop intros of the past decade,"Real Nega" contains the greatest sample on Peggy's carreer as well as "Rainbow Six" is his darkest beat. His weirdo personality shines on the ... read more
an album full of bangers, recently this record turned five years, so I wanted to revisit it.
“The WIZRD” while not showing any artistic growth since previous projects, it’s one of Future’s most consistent releases, the bangers are stellar, the production sounds rich and very detailed, the flows are addictive and intoxicating, even the low points of the record have something to offer, aged like wine.

“Circles” it’s an ultimate statement to how to do a posthumous album, this is how to respect an artist.
this album is heartbreaking, the instrumentals are beautiful and help to remark Mac’s soulful vocals, it’s just a shame the way we lost Mac Miller, he was one of a kind, this album is the perfect closer to his legacy.

"Malibu" is Anderson .Paak's breakout album, and since recently it turned eight years I want to revisit it.
Some words to defining this record are: funny, smooth, detailed, varied and stunning! Anderson is a guy full of personality, he can sing and rap very well, he produces and writes, he can do anything and doing it well, the way he aproches the instrumentals with mindblowing blences of jazz, funk, soul and hip-hop is mindblowing, even his songwriting is amazing, there's something ... read more
after the singles my expectations were on the floor, now that the project its released I can tell my expectations have been matched.
Cudi is the main problem on his own album, some of the beats are pretty cool as the verses from its features, but the tracklist remains boring and uninspired.

Kali Uchis' "ORQUÍDEAS" is her 4th LP and it's spanish oriented as "sin miedo" was in 2020, my expectations for this record were pretty high because the singles were absolute bangers, "Muñekita" even if it was a little bit too much on the performances, it stills hit pretty hard, the incredible "Te Mata" that embodies the señora momentum at perfection and "Labios Mordidos" that was an absolute reggaeton banger. I was ... read more
"american dream" is 21 Savage's third studio record that folllows his great album "i am > i was", since then 21 has relesed his sequel to his saga with Metro Boomin "Savage Mode" and his colab album with Drake "Her Loss" and a couple features that stablished 21 even more in mainstream rap. So for this album I was expecting some artistic grownth, different flows and topics, well... that didn't happen, but im not dissapointed with the result at ... read more
