So I'm going to repost this review with some edits since I've gone through all of The Beatles work in chronological order up to here. And I have some new thoughts from this album to The White Album. I'll keep the original review below, but will have a short new one above it.

NEW REVIEW:
I still generally agree with what I said in my original review, but listening to the older albums from The Beatles has given me more appreciation for this album. I would still say that tracks 4-11 are still arguably boring, but I like almost all of them more than what's on their older albums. I've grown to enjoy the Harrison-led tracks, "I Need You" and "You Like Me Too Much" and I can sometimes see the hype surrounding "Ticket to Ride". And then there's "You're Going to Lose That Girl", whose opening provides me with more euphoria than any moment on any other Beatles track. There is still a bit of slog in the stretch of tracks, but they don't sound anywhere near as dated as any of their older albums. And the harmonies are, as always, pretty great. Also, "Act Naturally" isn't a great song by any means, but I feel that it gets a bit more hate than it deserves. Poor Ringo.

The praise I mention in my old review hasn't really changed, although I will say that "I've Just Seen a Face" might be my favorite song on the album, even with the powerhouses "Help!" and "Yesterday".

That's pretty much the extent of my new thoughts on the album, but that's a majority of the songs that I've grown to be more favorable towards. I think I originally scored this at a 60 or something and have slowly inched the score up as time went on, and I think a 76 is pretty representative of my thoughts on this project. This was definitely a step in the right direction from The Beatles and the first album of theirs that I'd consider pretty good.

Favorite Tracks: Help!, You've Got to Hide Your Love Away, You're Going to Lose That Girl, I've Just Seen a Face.
Least Favorite Track: Dizzy Miss Lizzy.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:
After hearing more and more of the music that The Beatles would eventually make, this album becomes harder and harder to listen to. I've tried actively listening to this multiple times but always end up tuning out during one of the many love songs in the middle of the album. On the other hand, "Help!" is one of my favorite pop songs I've ever heard and "Yesterday" is right up my alley for my kind of music. There are more highlights here than Rubber Soul in my opinion, but I can't get behind most of the songs here. I want to listen to each Beatles album, but I think it would be painful to go even further back into their discography seeing how this album feels for me.

Favorite Tracks: Help!, You've Got to Hide Your Love Away, I've Just Seen a Face, Yesterday.
Least Favorite Tracks: Dizzy Miss Lizzy because I actually remember it and it's a crappy way to close the album, especially after Yesterday.
