Boris - Smile: -Live at Wolf Creek-
90

my god those 3 last songs are some of their best material

Boris With Merzbow - Rock Dream
100

Problem. I want to relisten to this 1000x over but i dont think my ears can handle that

fastest 2 hours of my life btw omg

Boris - Dronevil -Final-
100

Pummeling destruction, Pure (drone)Evil. This album sounds like a monolithic incomprehensibly large tank slowly and brutally crawling over you over the 1h runtime.

Paul McCartney - The Boys of Dungeon Lane
70

Some of the best songs on this have the worst mixing, unfortunate

JPEGMAFIA - EXPERIMENTAL RAP
70

I really like the experimentation with more underground edm genres like riddim but its wayyyyyyyy too long. This album gets boring so fast since the 2nd half all feels like the same 2 songs over and over. all the songs being so short also makes this feel super all over the place with no real structure.

Tom Waits - Closing Time
70

Even though this style of bluesy piano rock tends to bore me it was still a pleasant listen and important to help understand Tom's growth into the style i really like from him

Bladee - Sulfur Surfer
75

Only my goat BLADEE would drop on a wednesday at 5pm 🔥🔥🙏

Angels of Light - Everything Is Good Here / Please Come Home
80

Much more abrasive and loud than the other two AoL albums until this point. It has its chill moments but generally the energy seems to be cranked up on this one. A positive change of pace!

Angels of Light - New Mother
90

Very mellow compared to what was to come but that was expected as they were just coming off of the biggest change of Swans' career after Swans are Dead. I wouldnt say the songs got boring, however the length of this album being 70 minutes would probably put anyone who doesnt immediately love the first couple tracks off. Luckily for me i love this dark folky style from Gira and AoL.

Angels of Light - How I Loved You
95

Michael Gira might be the best artist ever like how does he keep doing it

Celtic Frost - To Mega Therion
75

really fun and angry thrash metal however its not my preferred genre so im not expecting to relisten to it super often

maudlin of the Well - Leaving Your Body Map
70

For me this is one of those albums where the highs are HIGH but the lows just drag and dont do anything for me

Swans - One True Mind
100

placeholder for whenever the live album comes out, i went to the stockholm show and this set is undoubtably a clean 100/100

The Cure - Pornography
75

By stripping down back the dreamy guitars and synths and honing in on the cold spaced out drums they create a super dark and cold atmosphere. however what i like most about the cure is that dreamy sound they have so whenever i listen to this, apart from a handful of songs, i always feel like its missing something. like its too empty but maybe i just need some more time with it to fully get emersed in the soundscapes

Neil Young - On the Beach
85

no doubt my score will go up in the future

Tom Waits - Alice
90

Some of the most accessible late era Tom Waits ive heard but its still late era Tom Waits so take that with a grain of salt.
Really nice songs on here, super weird and dark but this album seems to be quite warm and comfortable compared to something like bone machine or blood money

Melvins - Houdini
90

Really nice metal shit right here!!! Its like a blend of Black Sabbath's heaviness and Metallicas energy.

Magdalena Bay - Nice Day: A Collection of Singles
NR

The boxset for this is super nice
90/100 for the music
