'Something in the Room She Moves' is my introduction to Julia Holter and it really blew me away.
The instruments on this album are not being used but rather are working together with the musicians to create a delicate masterpiece, resulting in a very real and human experience. This is one of my favourite albums of all time and for good reason.
Big thief always feels like they’re knee-deep in the magical river that is music and it’s really at a high point on this album.
Even though it’s a big album with much variety, it still manages to fit into it’s own little pocket without being same-ish or bloated.
