I have never really been a fan of Tate. She has all the qualities of a great pop star, but Ive never really liked her voice that much. That being said, this album is a massive improvement from her other work. This sound works way better for her than the "sad girl sings about being sad" sound did. Even though this album is one of her better works, theres still quite a few low points in the album.
Sports Car is easily the best song off the album!
Maroon 5 used to be so good... for one album, then they sold out. Seriously, this band had so much potential to be something great and they turned into whatever they are now.
ARIANA GRANDE DEEP DIVE PART 1
The ending of Honeymoon Avenue was quite odd, but the rest of the song is great so I dont even care. Honestly, this is a pretty good debut album, I mean its definatley representative of the times, but Ariana has such an incredible voice it makes up for the dated sound.
My main problem with this album is that Im just not in love with her voice. I love the instrumentals, album cover, and over all feel of this album, but im not crazy about her voice. The songs I think she sounds the best on are ones where she has harmonies backing up her voice. I do understand im in the minority with this one. Sorry Y'all
I actually quite enjoyed most of the deluxe tracks, which only left me upset that they werent swapped for some of the worse tracks on the original album.
Now, i love Dolly Parton as much as the next person, #Dollywood4life, but she did not belong on please please please. I think she wouldve been better suited for slim pickins or something more along those lines.
THE WEEKND DEEP DIVE PART 3 -
I have high hopes for this one because it was released on my birthday. Not unlike the previous two albums in this trilogy, I was completely unfamiliar with the songs on this album, but where this one differs is that I had no idea it existed.
Thank God! This album is so much better than Thursday.I actually really enjoyed the first few tracks on this album. After finishing the trilogy in full I can still say Im not a "fan of The Weeknd" but I do ... read more
THE WEEKND DEEP DIVE PART 2
Much like House of Balloons, I was aware of this albums existance but unfamiliar with the songs.
This album is fine. Its really just okay. House of Balloons is definately better. Like House of Balloons most of the songs are fairly long, but whats different between the two albums is that the long songs off of House of Balloons were sonically interesting and had more to offer than these. These tracks leave something to be desired. I mean its not a bad album ... read more
THE WEEKND DEEP DIVE PART 1 -
I've always been aware of this albuim, but have been fairly unfamiliar with the songs on it. For the most part, I knew none of these songs going into the album.
I quite enjoyed the House Of Ballons track, but Glass Table Girls was not it for me. The weird voice he does on that track was really off-putting. I found that the mixing of the first three songs was kind of off. His voice seemed quieter in those than in the rest of the album.

North West feature is wild
The middle of the album I found to be a little stale. The start was so strong with Eusexua, Girl Feels Good, and Perfect Stranger, so I was really upset that it started to lose me a bit towards the middle, but it did pick back up at the end. Wanderlust is definately my favorite song from this album without a doubt. Honestly, this may be my least favorite FKA twigs album, which isnt saying much since I hold the others with such a high regard.
While I did find ... read more
