Nirvana - In Utero

If Nirvana made one masterpiece, well, this is it. Screw "Nevermind". This is where Kurt Cobain gave us his best offering. And with Mr. Steve Albini on the board. We go from sick, torturing noise rock bacchanals ["Scentless Apprentice", "Milk It", "Radio Friendly Unit Shifter"] to sinister balladry ["Dumb"], hardcore ["Tourette's"] to the perfect pop song ["Pennyroyal Tea" and "All Apologies"]... One of the greatest albums ever. Pure audio-opioid bliss.

After the absolute shitfest that was "Yeezus" I was kinda hesitant but I loved this album. Yeah, it's a mess. But that is part of its charm. And the schizophrenic gospel of "Ultralight Beam" is one of his greatest tunes ever. Way underrated.

Kendrick Lamar - DAMN.

A good album, although I've been slightly disappointed by it. I was honestly expecting his definitive magnum opus, after the amazing "To Pimp a Butterfly", which in my opinion stands as one of the greatest and most innovative hip-hop albums of the decade. Instead, "Damn" was pretty good but I was expecting way more. Good but...and by the way, I fucking hate Rihanna!
