Thanks for the recommendations @commiesilvestro and @yumesnc!!
On the first track, I was pretty skeptical, ngl. It felt like it wasn’t really a "serious" album. By "serious," I mean substantial and high-quality. But now I realize that it’s actually so underrated. Looking at the ratings, it honestly makes me sad that anyone could give it less than a 75. Personally, I wouldn't even stop at an 80 for this album, to be fair.
You know, when listening to other ... read more
If something was playing on my mom's flash drive in the car, then it's cool. This album is cool
I'll say the same thing here that I said in my Steam review of this game.
I love hammering nails
I’ve been listening to this album on repeat for quite a while now. Earlier, someone recommended one of the singles from it, which I liked, so I made the decision to check out the whole album as well. Now, with all the exams and stress behind me, I can confidently say that I’ve fully formed my opinion on this record.
Today was yet another session of me relistering to the album. It was honestly surprising to catch myself thinking that I’ve gotten seriously attached to this ... read more
I remember listening to this album, supposedly on a friend's recommendation, but I'm not entirely sure. Now that I've listened to it again, I can't say I'm eager to change the ratings I gave it a year ago.
But I can say that, over time, I'm certainly less enthusiastic about this album.
I'm still not the biggest fan of female vocals, and specifically THIS kind of female vocals. It's not what I usually expect from an album, but it's a good album. Not ... read more
I don't have much to say about this song. There's simply nothing to hate here) it's awesome
I first heard of Meyhem a long time ago, listening to their albums De mysteriis dom Sathanas and Deathcrush (which I want to re-listen to soon and write a review). And these albums are undoubtedly good, I genuinely like them.
But let's talk about this album.
There's nothing particularly unique here, ngl. There are a couple of very interesting songs, but otherwise, the album currently sounds a bit dull in places, which is disappointing.
Sitting down to listen, you think that this ... read more
I fell in love with this album right around 2017, when I first heard it. Imho, it’s Kenshi Yonezu’s best album. He hasn't been able to top himself in any of his subsequent projects.
Here, he sounds lively, lovely and original. The third track, which was the opening for My Hero Academia, still gives me goosebumps every single time I hear it
Aaaand Face.
This album is full of bangers that are literally still being hyped up on the internet, which never stops to amaze.
And I didn't want to yap too much about this album, so I'll try to express my opinion as briefly as possible.
Giving terrible ratings purely on principle is incredibly stupid ngl.
People who do that have always irritated me, utterly irritated me. And here there are tons of them, which is infuriating.
Sure, some songs here are full of cringy phrases that ... read more
I understand the aesthetic the artist and fans were chasing when this album came out.
I remember not really understanding it back then. It didn't quite fit the vibe I'd find appealing in this type of music. That's why I rated it... OK. It could have been worse (which is exactly what happened, because I downgraded it from 60 to 53). At this point, I absolutely dislike this type of music. I can't rate it any better, and I can't rate it any worse. It's something ... read more
okay. i don't really have much to say. i just relistened and thats not my thing at all
And it's so wonderful to see how well they opened up once they started singing in their own language. This is further confirmation that artists sound excellent in their own language. It sounds like they've gained a second wind. It's magnificent
I mean, after Vremya i Steklo fall apart, this album blew a lot of people's minds, like, "Nadya really can do THAT much, so far removed from Pozitiff?" At the time, it was good, of course. But... right now, of all the songs, only "Gorit" and "Vecherinka" works, and I wouldn't listen to the rest of this release again
Thanks for the recommendation @nagi111910!!
So, my overall impressions of the album are pretty... average.
On one hand, I’m not a big fan of the artist's voice, which sometimes completely ruins the enjoyment for me. Though, occasionally, it sounds pretty good in certain tracks. Anyway, it’s a matter of taste, and I won't judge anyone who likes it.
On the other hand, there's the music. I love the instrumental part in almost every track. It’s unique, cool, and ... read more
It still genuinely blows my mind that "Ввхтёрам" was the only song popular in my social circle, considering there are so many incredible gems of Ukrainian music here! There are some silly tracks, sure, but there are also incredibly melodic, tender, and heartbreaking ones!
Boombox is an absolute classic, love them
In short, I can't say I was thrilled with this album. I used to quite like it, but now... No.
The beginning is pretty upbeat and good, but towards the end, the quality and drive drop off, vanishing, and everything turns into a dull, boring mass that was a drag. I could barely force myself not to skip a single track.
The best songs on this album, I'd say, are: Sayonara and Red Out. I also like Kick Back, but probably only because I watched and read Chainsaw Man. If I hadn't ... read more
The album still sounds amazing, even after all these years. It feels like my brain is being roughly caressed, and I’m just absolutely thrilled by it. This is exactly what you expect to hear when you hear the name Korn. I could say I got what I expected, but honestly, I got even more. )
The way Jonathan constantly jumps from growling to whispering and groaning, and then into a full-on scream, completely blows my mind every single time. I fucking love these moments in Korn tracks. (Lmao, I ... read more
