A couple of tracks were alright, but god DAMN these vocals are beautiful. The harmonies on almost every song are fantastic! There are also some hard-hitting songs emotionally like Glimpse Of Us and Die For You being examples. Overall, a great album with some inconsistencies.
I’m starting a project where i’m listening to Drake and Kendrick’s albums in a chronological timeline and this album was first. And I’ll say, this is a good album to start off! It was a bit inconsistent in features but specifically Lil Wayne’s features. There were a couple of his features in other songs I didn’t really like. The good thing about this album was the beats, but that was really it. There were unnecessary beat switches on almost every song, most of the writing was bad, and the album felt repetitive near the halfway point of the album. It also wasn't very consistent with tracks. It was a decent first half, and then it slowly fell off with a few little heights. The best part about the album was the end of it. A very consistent rock ballad album that has a wonderful story and almost made me cry.
I decided not to rank the songs. I've been going through a lot of stress with my relationship, which has been resolved, but this album feels like therapy about what's happening. The album made me stop what I was doing to think and breathe. It was a peaceful album, yet soul-crushing.
