like lowkey, what do i even say to this. like ts goes from pretty interesting and chill songs to just straight up noise and like ig that's cool? but tbh, after the first half of this album, i kind of just like stopped paying attention, and the latter half of the album is just kind of uninteresting. i've listened to this entire album like five or six times and idk if i either just don't get it bc i'm unc now or if it's just like a not fully fleshed out album. overall, ... read more
i honestly think that "Flower Boy" epitomizes a lot of what people's idea of life in the late 2010's must have felt, and what it felt like to be a teen in an era when life was "simpler." And highkey, i agree with this sentiment a lot - even though this era wasn't all that tbh. i remember being shocked when i found out that the fucker who made those fuck ass "golf wang" shirts made what I used to call "vibezz" music, and being more shocked ... read more
holy shit. maybe this is good for being grandiose or whatever the fuck. but i've listened to this shit like 7 times, and each relisten makes this shit sound worse and worse. like fuck me, this is so fucking boring and lowkey reminds me of Coldplay music post-2014.
favorite songs: The Moon Cave, The Manifesto
least favorite songs: idk i just don't like the vibe of a lot of these songs regardless of the production
this shit is objectively really fucking good. like every song has just an insane amount of production and so much thought went into this album. but holy shit, i've listened to this entire album like 20 times, and i just can't get into it. it's too grandiose, and i just need that instant dopamine fix sometimes.
favorite songs: Divinize, Porcelana, Berghain
least favorite songs: idk this shit is so long i don't remember which ones i disliked

Like even though this album has that 60's, space age vibe, it doesn't really feel dated whatsoever. Ever song on this album is so immaculate, and it really feels like Stereolab spent half a year writing each individual song on this shit. Like each song is its own specially crafted project. But despite each song's uniqueness, they all ... read more
