super awesome hardcore record i will revisit guitars are sick so are the vocals i enjoyed
i thought this was a super cool album it had lots of different sounds incorporated into its 40 minute span but it still all worked together. I'm def gonna revisit this i feel like this is just gonna grow on me but i rlly enjoyed this
need to relisten but i enjoyed the guitars are just rlly great and the quiet vocals just work so well. i found ya no hay verano in like 2021 and finally listened to this whole thing and it was worth it i enjoyed.
okay... on the first track i was immediately in love like chimacum rain is such a beautiful song. after chimacum rain i was a little disappointed solely because it set the bar so high, like the other songs were good just not what i was expecting after hearing Chimacum rain BUT after the title track... things really started to pick up. i wasn't sure why this was referred to so often as psychedelic folk as before parallelograms the album doesn't really sound too psychedelic but after ... read more
great album tbhh i need to relisten to like get the full effect but on first listen it was super cool the way it fuses western with electronic super sick loved it

i enjoyed wayyy more on a second listen. the bass is so electric and it fits so well with her voice and the western synth. the songs are all surprisingly catchy and i found myself just wanting to come back to it
I love agoraphobia but there were moments on this record that i just didn't really enjoy idk.... i was a bit disappointed but maybe ill revisit.
had its fun catchy moments but also had some cringe moments and moments that weren't as enjoyable of a listen
amazing so beautiful idek how to describe how amazing this album is beach house really knows how to make good dreamy music... idk for sure but i think i like it better than depression cherry
honestly like not that bad! there were moments of this album that just didn't work for me like the dissonant violin on bites but it was only moments overall this was a rlly cool like idm-type album almost and there were cool tracks like suono assente, candles, nail jar.
there are parts of this record that i enjoyed but overall just kind of hard to listen to. his voice is so annoying. its not even his voice its just the way in which he chooses to sing. like i like the beats on some of the songs but that's about it. there's maybe like 1 or 2 songs i could see myself revisiting. also the lyircs like. he ends up repeating a lot of the lyrics (slaughter house, rainbow bridge, sematary) throughout all the songs on the album and it kinda just makes the whole album ... read more
good. nothing more nothing less. you have really good tracks like bitch and sanctuary but everything else is kind of just okay. i also wish more of it sounded like bitch and sanctuary kind of taking on that much grander tone. it was kind of just underwhelming
this album is good! there are parts that don't hold up at all and are very cringe but this is so 2014 and like it honestly kind of serves for that. famous is still an amazing song like the productions and the vocals i still listen to it. its just a fun dancey record. ignore some of the cringe lyrics and its so awesome.
great production. there isnt a bad song on the album but there are some songs than are better than others. pink diamond, forever, claws, and anthems stood out to me with the rest of the songs being good but just not great . overall really good coherent album with great vocals and production
This is such a good album. I liked Laurel Hell but it was my least favorite album of hers so far so I was scared that the next album was not gonna be the best but I had nothing to be worried about. This is such a unique and amazing album. It’s so interesting in the response too. The way that this album was so well received by the general public despite being a very folky country album is just so interesting and so cool to see. I’m so happy that Mitski is able to delve into other ... read more
really good! the vocals are incredible. the instrumentals are so minimal in such a good way. it reminds me a bit of the land is inhospitable and so are we despite coming out a year earlier. everything is so downtempo yet still so catchy. really great album ill definitely revisit
its a good record! there were only two songs that really stood out to me. i love the tone of the guitar but the album started to blend togetyer a bit. i see myself coming back to this it did sound nice
Overall, this is a really amazing album. I’ll get my complaints out of the way before I write a whole essay praising this album. I think the track order is good but my only issues are Sunday, Pt. II and Mortming. Mortming would have made a much better opening track introducing everyone to the funky sounding samples and everything. Would more people have maybe put the record down and given it a chance, yes, so I understand why they started with Working for Vacation, just Mortming really ... read more
