The sophomore album from Blue Smiley for me is quite the improvement from their debut on all fronts. Better songwriting and production for sure. It mixes Shoegaze with a lot of different styles of rock as well. dark has a fucking insane ending which turns basically into just noise rock and it’s so awesome. glass has potentially one of my favorite hooks from the band, and the way the guitars blend is so great. flip, idk, and pray are all other highlights as well.
