pretty good album! reminds me of some of devi mccallions work. the instruments are good the mix of guitar with more electronic instruments sounds pretty sick than with the kind of idk how to describe i guess foggy vocals on top. very interesting combo! it just didn't really stick out to me too much. like when listening to this i wasn't like OMG THIS IS SO GOOD I NEED TO LISTEN MORE. like its ok! its a good album and i could see myself coming back to it but.... i am not like entranced by it. it ... read more
good album! the first time i listened i didn't really get the hype but the more i listened the more addicting it got. very catchy songs with great instrumentals and unique vocals. in my opinion the album did have some low points but overall it was a good album with some very unique aspects.
the organ was so sick. i thought this was such a cool album. i feel like i need to listen to it more to truly appreciate it but even the longest tracks like ugly and vengeful did not feel dragged out i was still enamored with it. really cool album
good album! i think its a very nice and ambient fitting end to the kick series. despite being slow and quiet its a rilly nice contrast to the rest of the albums with a very sharp and amazing closer. i loved this album
i didnt enjoy this as much as some of her other albums but it was still a really good album that i think will grow on me over time;
amazing album fiona apple is still making amazing music so many years later. i cant wait to revisit this album
i didnt enjoy this album as much as hejira i need to revisit it and maybe i will enjoy it more it was still very good! it just didn't hold up to me like hejira did. ill revisit it tho and ill probably like it better.
it feels weird to give an album i just heard a few days ago a 100 but its just that good all the songs are amazing there is no weak points on the albums. they lyricism the melodies the bass all superb. this is really an album that transports you to another world of join Mitchell driving out on a bleak road and I'm glad i get to be on that ride and listen to it.
this album is so beautiful and i only expect it to grow on me with time. it was so amazing. the gradiosity of the piano drums and her screaming vocals was incredible. the lyrics were incredible. I'm so glad i got to experience this album it was truly amazing it was a tough listen but in the best way. i will definitely be revisiting this.
i had high expectations and i was kind of let down some of the album feels very slow and uneventful but not in an interesting way. it was still enjoyable overall with songs like these days, Chelsea girls, and the opening track. i enjoyed it and i see myself coming back to this i think it just needs some time to grow on me.
musical perfection. the way all the tracks flow together. the way that a lot of the musical tracks r so beautiful. like clash, lazy, and starfruits surf rider are all amazing. mic check has to be one of the coolest album openers ever. typewrite lesson is also one of the coolest album outros. i think god only knows would've been a really strong song to end the album with but typewrite lesson does just as good of a job. the album is so esoteric and beautiful. all the different sounds like ... read more
