Sequels to singles? Why not?
It took me months for the first Double Trio to click, but I'm so happy it did, I listened to it a ton at late 2023-early 2024. And now here is the second part... and they somehow could top the prequel track.
And after I stated Zig Zag is the best song of the year so far, they proved me wrong again. They casually made 5 songs what are easily in the best song of the decade debates.
This MIGHT be Natural Snow Buildings.
A beautiful song, the post-rock, the drone and ambient elements are all coming together and getting executed perfectly, it's really like a NSB track.
Out of the 6 singles he released this year so far, this is the only good one. If these are the lead singles, what are supposed to make someone hyped for the album, then I can't care less about how Dreamboy will sound like.
The last time Carti dropped, I was a kid who just started high school and got stuck in qurantine for the second time. Now i can drive, vote and drink legally, and after all these years, Carti barely evolved.
He had some time to drop a consistent album, yet there weren't a good 5-track run on any part of the album. The songs often felt like that the new-gen rage artists would do a way better job on them, even though I don't like most of their work.
I understand the length of the album: ... read more
Who told the bloke mixing basic country and basic EDM is a good idea?
I asked my dyslexic friend Will, who was that one trap metal artist i was obsessed with in 2020. He almost got it...
I think with or without my review, most of the users on this site know by now, that a 10 minute+ long CSH song can't be nothing less than phenomenal. Absolutely astonishing.
Fuck Paste.
Both lead singles were awesome and got me excited to this release, and it didn't disappoint. Even though this album is pretty short, it is filled with so many bangers, bangers what I'll often return to. Great job from the same woman who made Friday.
While I'm on the path of trying to find my voice, my true self, and while I'm actually encountering the big questions about myself and about my views, By Storm decided to drop Zig Zag with a perfect timing. While every aspect of the song is astonishing: the drone-sounding beggining what slowly ascends to a glitchy, psychedelic masterpiece; the real outsatanding part about the song is its message. Absolutely loving this track, I'm really excited what Parker and RiTchie puts out ... read more
Currently sobbing right now because of how beautiful this is. Raveena never disappoints.
Me likey when the EDM I grew up on gets love on music reviewing sites.
Yesterday, I started to make a playlist named 'EDM/Dance-Pop I grew up on'. I was the biggest EDM kid in the 2010s, so no wonder, these mostly one-trick pony DJs' music make me feel like I'm 10-12 again.
But enough yapping, this is the song what's revisit got me so nostalgic and made me start a playlist like this (this and Britney's 'I Wanna Go'). I remember I didn't like ... read more
It literally sounds like a highlight track from 'Galore', but hazier, more Bladee-ish.
I was so excited when I saw the two of them released a song together and it did not disappoint at all. Probably Oklou's best lead-single for her upcoming album, 'Choke Enough'.
It's such an easy listen: Oklou's usual space-y, atmospheric pop production; and obviously, Bladee really compliments this type of sound. The duo you never knew you needed.
I'm gonna go LOW by saying this, but this was easily ericdoa's best song from his TAPE, "DOA". Like, this song never FADED out from being on repeat. So yeah, you can say this song is MASSIVE.
Jokes aside, dancinwithsomebawdy became my most-streamed song this year, and I just wanted to give this song the flowers it deserves. This hyperpop influeced, short, crispy track just gives you the urge to dance and makes you feel good. Or, is that so? Like at most of the hyperpop ... read more

balkan rage + winter arc + mangos + those who know 💀💀💀
(Rating: 40 -> 80)
Well, this grew on me. A lot. As a single, it stands out. Anitta is surprisingly good, there's the essential The Weeknd sound as well, and the Mike Dean produced boom-tsa-tsa brazilian funk beat also stands out for me. The more i listen to this song, the less i understand what's going on: how i didn't like this at all in the first place, yet still, how much i keep coming back to this after time.
I still don't know what synergy will this and the other ... read more
A breezy indie-rock ear candy made by Dean Blunt and Lil Ugly Mane, gotta love it!
Cochise locked the fuck in at "TRACK 9", so i somewhat frogive him for the damage he did to me with the first half of his new album, "WHY ALWAYS ME?".
Cochise is the best example of this new-wave rage/pluggnb sound: the beats are mostly enjoyable, Cochise has flow on the instrumentals he's on and he usually sounds hungry with the delivery. Well, at the first 6-7 tracks of this album, that wasn't the case. And i got scared, because that wasn't was i was ... read more
