It's a great album for sure, but one that I rarely go back to, as the subject matter of the album doesn't relate to me in that way, so I can't give it a perfect 100, but damn is this a great album, to the instrumentals, to kendricks rapping, it's all amazing.
Off the bat, it's one of the greatest albums of all time, no question about it, I really don't need to delve in deep for this review as it's tpab, but it's such a great album, to the subject matter of what's being talked about, to the sound of everything and how everything is so well mixed and mastered, to kendricks flows, it's honestly an amazing album that who knows if we will ever have one like this again.
Alright, Cherry Bomb, Where do I even begin with this, it's probably the most disorienting album to listen to during the first listen, and speaking from expierence, listen to this album when you're trying to branch out music taste, as it's so diverse in sound it has a bit of everything, such as rock, soul, jazz, and more, but it could be way better if the tracks weren't so all over the place, like how you get something like FIND YOUR WINGS, to the title track which is a ... read more
Tyler really comes out of the goblin phase and really shows out his producing skills on this album, it's a really fun listen but does indeed have it's skips, such as Pigs, Parking Lot, and Trash Wang, but putting those aside, this album is great, it has a good set list of features such as Pharrell and Erykah Badu, and Tyler seems to be having fun making this while also getting personal on tracks such as Lone, and Answer, it's all around a pretty good album besides it's low ... read more
This is the most atmospheric album I've ever heard, like I never heard another album like this one that sets up a setting in your mind, like a sunny beach on a yacht getting fed French vanilla ice cream, it's such a great album.
This album is probably my least favorite of Tyler's, besides goblin and bastard, as it really doesn't sound like anything new to me, it's a great album for sure, but it just didn't click with me, but at the end of the day I can't rate it lower or higher than a 75.
It's another 100 to Mr. Tyler Gregory Okoma, it feels like this guy can do whatever he wants on anything and he will make it sound amazing.
Honestly it is definitely my favorite Tyler album out of all of them, so it holds a special place in my heart, I would definitely recommend this album to others to listen to it due to the subject matter and how it resonates with me, and sonically this is beautiful, there are no skips on this album for me at all.
Honestly, I loved this band ever since I found it in a spotfiy clips feature a few months ago when the first few singles of the album were coming out, but I went back and listened to their two albums and this by far exceeds them for me, it's way more fun to listen to, very crazy comparison in sound from the self titled, and Mourning star, great album!
