This is my personal gold standard for modern country albums. It's concise and has a wide variety of sounds which keep you interested from start to finish; each track feels unique, and you're never left feeling like you've listened to the same song 4 times in a row.
As far as country-pop goes, this was solid. Nice voice and generally pleasant to listen to, but a full hour was too long for me, especially with many of the songs sounding very similar to one another.
This album falls into a sort of purgatory that I find a lot of Midwest Emo bands/albums do - not bad, not good, just fine. There's nothing that stands out or grabs me. There's nothing I specifically dislike. It's a collection of songs that sound pretty similar to one another and all leave me thinking "that was decent".
I really like Aurora's sound and I've always been especially enamored by this album. It makes me feel like I've entered an icy fantasy world.
