Maybe the single best record ever made, every single song here does its own thing to the best degree possible. There is not a single boring moment here, and it constantly delivers and surprises over 40 years later. From Let's Go Crazy to Purple Rain, this record does not let up. Darling Nikki is my personal favorite, but I love every track here. Perfect in every way. This might seem imposing when you start it, the rapid pace of Concubine and Fault and Fracture might put some off, but this gets nasty, slow, and sludgy during many of the tracks, it rewards you with breakdowns and some of the greatest riffage ever heard. The final track, the title track, is also one of the greatest closing tracks ever and probably the best metalcore track ever made (White Walls by BTBAM is a close second). Way too long, a bit too samey, but this record of positive affirmations from Hatebreed is still pretty good. Most of the highlights are in the first third, tracks like the title track, Proven, and the fantastic I Will Be Heard have become classics for the band for good reason, but throughout the record there's great moments.
