Perseverance is such a unique record. Despite it's heaviness it's one of the best motivation positive hardcore albums ever created. The record sets out a clear value system for those who can only be their most authentic self. The bonds of family, friendship, and persevering through struggle. How can you argue with that? It's this 1-2 punch of heaviness paired with conviction that is undeniable. The album has aged gracefully and felt like it had landed from space in 2002. Since it ... read more
so weird because Jamey Jasta has much better lyricism on this than Satisfaction, yet the album is completely unbearable to listen to until "Smash Your Enemies". i can tell they tried to do something new with the mixing, but the mixing on Satisfaction was perfect, why change anything? plus, the album is a complete drag to get through. none of the songs hit you as hard as you need them to, and Jasta's vocal style has gotten notably worse, it's almost not even worth it to ... read more

I am not a massive fan of Hardcore music like this, but I did really enjoy this album. Towards the end, I began to feel like the songs were all very samey, which did drag the rating down a bit, but songs like I Will Be Heard got the album off to a great beginning
