real cute album that grew on me

anyway im really digging the main singers guys tone but id rather dearly pluck a few songs off this album than ever listen to the full thing, a lot of the songs dragged on and blended together in the not-good-way

i really like the trumpets on this album. im ngl tho when flowers switched to the feature it felt so out of place :') it couldve worked man something about it was just so too different to the rest of the songs though lmaoo

its a cute collection of songs, just not something i would listen front to back. i really like intersection though, one of their best acoustic tracks imo and a nice callback to modern baseball :]

least favorite track: to even fill this space would be an insult, an affront to the progression of the homo sapien. anyone who believes there to be a bad song on this ep is singlehandedly knocking our species back to monkey brain and is probably breaking a law somewhere for slander and defamation.

this album takes what Modern Baseball perfected and what Dawg set the stage to do. despite tending to like the more 'laid-back' style seen on Birdie and At the Moonbase as opposed to a midwest teen style myself, this album perfects a balance of both of those!!

kinda hard to rate because of the amount of songs but here i go. i appreciate this ep, especially as the starting off point for jake ewald to branch out into the ulta-personal distinct style he would go on to cultivate. you can really see those hints of greatness that would later go on to define SBD in this ep. imo there's nothing majorly wrong with what was done, but it could clearly be refined more, as seen on Welcome. this definitely isn't an album i'd play one song off either. honestly this ... read more
